Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using the DesigniX platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and DesigniX, the official technical club of Rajalakshmi Engineering College.

Membership in DesigniX is open to currently enrolled students of Rajalakshmi Engineering College. By registering, you confirm that: • You are a bona fide student of the college. • The information you provide is accurate, complete, and current. • You will maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials. • You are responsible for all activities under your account. The club reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for violations of these terms or college policies.

All members must adhere to the following code of conduct: • Respect fellow members, faculty, and guests at all times. • Maintain a professional and inclusive environment — harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. • Follow all rules and regulations of Rajalakshmi Engineering College during club activities and events. • Do not share confidential club information, materials, or resources without authorisation. • Use the platform responsibly and refrain from any activity that may disrupt services or compromise security. • Respect intellectual property rights — do not plagiarise or misuse others' work. Violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the club.

By registering for a DesigniX event: • You commit to attending the event or cancelling your registration within the specified timeframe. • Seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. • The club reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events. In such cases, registered participants will be notified promptly. • For paid events, registration fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the club. • Your attendance may be recorded and used for institutional records and club analytics.

For events requiring payment: • All payments are processed through the platform and verified by the club administration. • Payment proofs (transaction IDs and screenshots) must be authentic and verifiable. • Submitting fraudulent payment information will result in immediate disqualification from the event and possible disciplinary action. • The club does not store full bank account or card details — payment processing is handled through standard banking channels. • Any disputes regarding payments must be raised within 7 days of the transaction.

Members may have the opportunity to submit content, including but not limited to: • Profile information and biographical details. • Project submissions and portfolio pieces. • Feedback, suggestions, and reviews. • Media (images, videos) shared during events. By submitting content, you grant DesigniX a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use the content for club-related purposes. You retain ownership of your content and represent that it does not violate any third-party rights.

All platform content, including design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of DesigniX or Rajalakshmi Engineering College unless otherwise stated. You may not: • Reproduce, distribute, or modify platform content without prior written consent. • Use the club's name, logo, or branding for unauthorised purposes. • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code from the platform. Materials created during club workshops and events may be used for educational and promotional purposes with appropriate attribution.

DesigniX and Rajalakshmi Engineering College shall not be liable for: • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. • Loss of data, unauthorised access to your account, or service interruptions. • Any disputes, injuries, or damages occurring during club events or activities. • Third-party services integrated with the platform. The club's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for the specific service or event giving rise to the claim.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the platform immediately, without prior notice, for: • Violation of these Terms and Conditions. • Violation of college rules and regulations. • Engagement in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities. • Request by college administration or faculty advisors. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately, and we may delete your data as per our Privacy Policy and institutional requirements.

DesigniX reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the platform. We will notify members of material changes via email or platform announcements. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved through: • Amicable negotiation between the parties. • If unresolved, mediation through the college administration. • As a last resort, legal proceedings under the jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The club encourages informal resolution of disputes before pursuing formal action.
